Augusta County School Health Advisory Board (SHAB) & Wellness Policy

The Augusta County SHAB advises the school division and the School Board regarding issues related to health-related policies, nutrition, physical education, and student health services.  The SHAB does not have the ability to change school policies directly, but serves as a forum for the discussion of health-related issues and can make recommendations to the School Board.  The Augusta County SHAB is attended by individuals that reflect broad-based community representation, including parents, physicians, public health professionals, school nurses, youth service coordinators, law enforcement professionals, and Administrators from the Augusta County School system.

Misson:  to be an active participant promoting health and wellness in Augusta County Schools.
