Augusta County Public Schools – Elementary Mathematics Curriculum Review

Augusta County Public Schools is currently reviewing elementary mathematics curricula for a potential adoption. The materials selected will support the implementation of the 2023 VA Mathematics Standards of Learning for Kindergarten through 5th grade beginning in the 2025-26 school year. We value your input in the selection of elementary curriculum. Comments will be taken into consideration alongside feedback from elementary educators and a review committee. The final recommendation, based on this collaborative review process, will be presented to the School Board for approval.

All comments must be received by Friday, April 18, 2025. There are three ways to review and provide input on the elementary math curricula under consideration:

  • Option 1: In-Person Review and Comment at Augusta County Government Center

Samples will be available for public review and comment at the Augusta County Government Center from 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm on April 3 prior to the start of the School Board Meeting.

  • Option 2: Online Access

Elementary curricula may be accessed online through April 18. Click here for guidance on reviewing the curricula and providing input.

  • Option 3: In-Person Review at the Augusta County Center for Professional Learning

Elementary curricula can be reviewed in person at the Augusta County Center for Professional Learning, located at 58 Cedar Green Rd, Staunton (formerly Beverley Manor Middle School) on April 9, 10, and 11, between the hours of 9:00am and 4:00pm. Upon arriving at the main entrance, buzz in to share that you are there to review the elementary math curricula samples, which will be located in the lobby.
