Updated January 10, 2022: Due to the approval of the new magisterial districts by the Augusta County Board of Supervisors, the deadline to apply has been extended. All required documentation should be directed to Dr. Kelly Troxell, Clerk of the School Board, PO BOX 960, Verona, VA 24482 no later than 12:00 Noon on Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
The Augusta County School Board announces the vacancy of the South River District School Board Representative due to the resignation of Mr. Tom Goforth. Any qualified voter of the South River District is invited to submit a written statement of interest identifying the reasons why the applicant wishes to be appointed and why he/she believes they are qualified to serve on the Augusta County School Board on an interim basis. Additionally, interested individuals should submit a detailed resume outlining education, employment history, and other qualifications.

The Augusta County School Board will hold a public hearing to receive the views of the citizens within the school division on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. at the Augusta County Government Center.
The School Board will schedule and conduct interviews of qualified candidates after the public hearing on January 20, 2022, and will appoint the interim member at its regularly scheduled meeting on February 3, 2022.
