Challenged by Griselda (a 400 year old witch) Rumpelstiltskin (a very tricky wizard) must possess an infant of royal birth. Plotting and scheming, he spreads the word that the miller’s daughter, Laura, can weave straw into gold. Because the country is bankrupt, Laura is swept off to the palace and ordered to spin and spin and spin. Rumpelstiltskin offers to help her deliver the gold, but there is one condition: she must give Rumpelstiltskin her first born child! When Laura marries the prince, and produces an heir to the throne, she has 24 hours to guess the wizard’s name or give him her child.
