Welcome

Hello! My name is Kaitie Saunders I am thrilled to be here at Clymore as your child's principal!

I am a graduate of Augusta County Public Schools and have lived here all my life! I earned my undergraduate degree from Bridgewater College, Master's degree from Liberty University, and Doctorate degree from Liberty University. I love to learn!!

I began my career as an elementary classroom teacher in Harrisonburg City before becoming an instructional coach. I found my way back to the county that had been so good to me and had the privilege of working as an instructional coach at Clymore and Stuarts Draft Elementary Schools. From there, I served the Riverheads Elementary community as assistant principal before spending the last three years as the supervisor of Augusta County's at-risk early childhood program. When the opportunity arose to come back to Clymore, I jumped!! This community is incredible, and I am so excited to be back here.

My husband, Jason, and I live on our family farm with our two sons (Jon- 16 and Nick- 14). We enjoy being outdoors, sports, spending time on the farm, and having family adventures. My older son has experienced some health struggles throughout his lifetime and it has been incredible to watch him overcome and persevere. He is active in the FFA and enjoys working on the farm. My younger son enjoys running cross country, wrestling, mountain biking, and is also a member of the FFA.

My passion is working with and helping children achieve great things! I look forward to working with the Clymore community this year - faculty, staff, parents, community groups, schools, and most importantly, the students! Clymore has a rich history of excellence, and I my goal is to continue to facilitate that environment that shows up for every child, every day!
