Free athletic physical night for ALL middle and high school student-athletes will be May 14th, from 4:00-7:30 pm at Riverheads High School. Students must have complete form filled out prior to being seen and parent signature is required. Students will report to the RHS cafeteria and wait to be called. There may be a longer wait time with additional student athletes being seen. Any student that is participating in MS or JV sports next year MUST have a VHSL physical to be eligible. All students planning on playing football, cheer, cross country, golf, or volleyball in the fall will need those prior to being allowed to participate in ANY practice or tryout. Thank you to Dr. Marsh and his staff for providing this service to the student-athletes in our community!
Please note there is a NEW VHSL Physical Form that is being used for next year and beyond. A copy of the new VHSL physical form is available in the front office of the school and/or on Physical Night.
Admission Prices Set for Regular Season Contests
The Shenandoah District has set regular season admission prices at $6.00 for all JV & Varsity contest. Patrons and fans can expect a slight increase in admission for post season events and games.
Digital purchase of tickets for athletic events is available through the GoFan website or app. Fans can purchase tickets prior to athletic events or use a credit card at entrance gates.

NFHS Live Streaming Information
*Live streaming will be provided for certain athletic contests through the NFHS network. The NFHS network will allow you to watch RHS events - home/away - throughout the Fall/Winter/Spring seasons for some sports if available at the host site. In addition, it will allow you access to additional schools throughout the state of Virginia that have the system.

*Please contact the RHS Athletic Director regarding any questions you may have regarding live streaming as it relates to RHS events. Some events may not be able to be live-streamed.
Participation Fee
The Augusta County School Board passed a "Participation Fee" starting in the 2011-12 school year. The fee will be $25 per child per athletic season and affects any student-athlete who makes a JV or Varsity team at Riverheads. The money collected will be used to help cover the cost of officials, entry fees for tournaments, equipment and facilities. The fee does NOT guarantee a certain level of playing time on a team.
