Tips for Raising a Reader

All classes follow a fixed schedule. Classes visit the library for 45 minutes of literature enrichment, library skills lessons, and time to to check out books.

Classes also may use open access time. This time is available for teachers, students, and the library media specialist to work together on research and class projects.

All students are encouraged to return, check out, and reserve books as needed. The library  is open from 7:45 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. for open check out time--all students are welcome.

Learning to become a respectful, responsible library user is an important part of your child's education. Thank you for helping your student to learn these skills.

All students are encouraged to check out at least 1 library item per visit.  This may be kept at school, or taken home to enjoy for up to a week.  After a week, the book should be returned or renewed. 

Students will be sent a notice for lost, damaged, or overdue books on the day after their library visit. 

The amount for lost or damaged items will be listed on the overdue notice.  Prompt payment is appreciated!

There are no fines for overdue materials.

The Library Media Center hosts a Book Fair once every school year. More information will be posted here.

This library fundraiser is an excellent time to build your home library while at the same time helping to build ours. All proceeds are used to purchase much needed library materials.
