Wilson Middle Parents and Caregivers: HELP NEEDED! The administration is planning a You are SOUPer lunch for staff on Wednesday, 11/17 to celebrate National Education Week. The SCC has been asked to help provide crock pots of soup. Soup can be dropped off the morning of 11/17. Lunch will begin at 11:00. SCC volunteers are also needed to help provide duty-free lunch for teachers. Can you help out and provide a crock pot of soup and/or help with a duty-free lunch? REMINDER!!! Tomorrow (10/22) is the last day of the Bookfair!!

ROCK the HOUSE Fundraiser Update: The SCC continues their "no fundraiser-fundraiser" campaign. Students/caregivers may drop off funds directly into the donation jars for each HOUSE (Truth, Knowledge, Courage, and Endurance) located in the main office. Checks should be made out to "WMS SCC". The fundraiser, ending in late October, is also a competition between the four student Houses. The house that raises the most money will win a special treat/event from the SCC! As of 9/28/21 the House of COURAGE continues to charge ahead, leading by over $190! The remaining Houses in order of money raised are Knowledge, Endurance, and Truth.

Just a reminder.... picture makeup day is tomorrow, October 5th at 11:00 AM. If your student was absent on picture day, they will have an opportunity to take their picture tomorrow!

If your student needs to get tested for Covid, you must request a PCR test, not the rapid test. If your student is being tested, the school must also be notified immediately. **PICTURE DAY!!** Monday and Tuesday (8/16-8/17) are picture days! Students will have their picture taken during their PE class. Check your students schedule to see which day they will have PE. Monday is a Green Day, and Tuesday is a Gold Day. You do not need to pre-order photos. An info card will be sent home with your student the day their picture is taken with specific ordering instructions. If you need help with ordering, or if the card is misplaced, you may email staff@qcpva.com for assistance from Queen City Photography. We look forward to seeing lots of smiles!

Volleyball Tryouts are this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (August 11-13) from 3:30-5:30 in the WMS gymnasium.

Please make note of the Student Daily Health Screening. Ask your student these questions every morning, and if they answer YES to any, please keep your student at home, contact your health care provider or Health Department immediately, and contact the school.

Fee Collection Starts 7/28! We are looking forward to seeing everyone for registration! Just a few reminders: -Hours are 8:30-4:00 (closed for lunch 12-1) -Open every weekday until the first day of school on August 10th -Open House - August 5th Evening hours 4:30-7:30 (School will be open for you to look around, and meet teachers) - Fees for ALL students (Grades 6-8) are $45 -School Supply bundles for each grade are $45 and include a customized cinch sack. Save time shopping - we did it for you! **Only while supplies last** -Additional supplies for sale individually as well -Payments can be made with cash, check payable to Wilson Middle School, or online through your parent portal -Please complete your online registration if you haven't already. We will have computers available for your convenience. -Schedules will be available through your parent portal as well, beginning 7/27/21. If you would like a paper copy, please request one from either the Bookkeeper when paying fees, or in the Main Office. -
