Today, the WMHS Jazz Band made a stop at WMS as part of their annual “Jazz Tour” of Augusta County.
They played for a packed house of band students and sounded AMAZING!

You must use code DN6 when ordering online or mention the fundraiser for Wilson Middle School when calling to place your order. We do not get the proceeds without the mention. We will be offering a free vaccine clinic on Friday, April 19th as a convenience to families of rising 7th graders. The TDAP and meningitis vaccines are required of all 7th graders. A consent form needs to be filled out and returned but a parent does not need to be present. Please turn in this form as soon as possible if you would like your child to be vaccinated.

Attention Rising 7th and 12th graders. Please schedule now to receive required vaccines for next school year and turn in documentation early. Documentation can include a medical exemption form, a notarized Religious exemption form or documentation of vaccine administration.
Required vaccines for rising 7th graders are the Tdap and Meningitis. HPV is required but parents can opt out.
Rising 12th graders need at least 1 Meningitis vaccine.
For the Fort, Stewart and BMMS students, the Health Dept will be coming to campus on April 19th to administer. Consent forms can be obtained at your child's school. Vaccines will not be administered without parental consent.

Yesterday the 7th grade Social Studies classes welcomed our guest speaker, Mr. Jim Belcher. He travels the nation sharing his father's story of being a survivor of the sinking of the USS Indianapolis.
Mr. Persinger had a speaker come in and speak with our 7th grade Social Studies classes. The speaker, Clinton Davis's father was a Tuskegee Airman (mechanic).
Congratulations to the three WMS Band students that were selected to the 2024 VBODA District V Jazz Honor Band. They spent the day rehearsing with Dr. Christine Carrillo at Bridgewater College, before giving an evening concert.
