VBODA Concert Assessment is an annual state adjudication, where our students perform for a panel of professional judges. Their pre-assessment concert is your chance to hear all the incredible work of your students before the big day.

The 7th grade band had an amazing field trip to Eastern Mennonite University, where they performed for Director of Bands Dr. Kyle Remnant. Congratulations to these students on a great trip!

Wilson Middle FFA members Alexis Davis, Jarron Pieper and Aidyn McGinnis were honored to participate in the FFA day at the state capital on January 25th. FFA members recognize the importance of helping our legislators remember the significant role that farmers and other agriculturists serve in our communities, the Commonwealth, and our nation. Thank you to our District 2 Senator Mark Obenshain for taking the time to meet with our students to discuss the importance of agriculture education and FFA.

Courtney Terrell is recognized as the Lingo Networks Sponsored ACPS Teacher of the Month. Mrs. Terrell is our Speech Language Pathologist. She is dedicated to communication and helping students access the general education curriculum. Teachers frequently express gratitude for Mrs. Terrell's knowledge and collaboration. She has a positive personality and regularly motivates her middle and high school students to set goals and she celebrates with them as they meet those goals. We appreciate all of Mrs. Terrell’s efforts to provide meaningful services to her students and for being a collaborative advocate for their needs.

Notice of Public Hearing - February 1, 2024
The Augusta County School Board will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 7 p.m. to receive input as it pertains to the 2024-2025 Augusta County School Board Budget. The meeting will be held at the Augusta County Government Center, Verona, Virginia. All interested parties are invited to attend. Details for those wishing to speak are available on the “School Board” tab of the Augusta County Public Schools webpage (https://www.augusta.k12.va.us/page/school-board-meeting-dates). The regular School Board meeting will follow.
