Our Services
Our purpose as a school counseling department is to promote academic achievement and enhance the learning process for students. We are here to help students with their academic, career, and personal development. We work with teachers, administrators, students, and parents to provide the individual help that each student needs throughout their high school career by consulting, offering counseling, intervening, and referring to outside agencies, if needed. Our services can be grouped under three main categories: individual planning, responsive services, and system support.
Individual Planning Services
Developing personal goals and future plans with students
Monitoring student academic progress
Building career awareness
Providing education planning to include course selections
Assisting with college selection, application process, financial aid, scholarships
Responsive Services
Consultation with teachers and parents
Individual counseling
Referrals to community agencies, social services, medical professionals (including mental health professionals), and/or alternative education programs
Crisis intervention
System Support Services
Student data analysis
Utilization of community resources
Maintaining student cumulative records
