If an employee suffers a workplace injury or illness, they may be eligible to receive Workers' Compensation benefits. Benefits available through workers' compensation include payment for medical care, including doctor's fees, pharmacy charges, lab tests, and x-rays. Benefits also may include salary replacement if the employee is totally disabled for more than 7 calendar days as a result of the accident or illness.
