Transportation
Drivers and buses are limited in the summer. We are working to provide transportation for students that absolutely need it in order to attend June Academy. Here are some things to consider:
Students may drive to/from June Academy.
Parents may drop off/pick up students at Fort Defiance High School.
Parents may drop off/pick up students at their home high school for a shuttle to FDHS.
Please discuss other transportation needs with your school counselor by May 3.
Attendance
Students are expected to attend every day, starting June 3. The first day of June Academy will include an orientation where students will receive the expectations and information regarding June Academy requirements.
Students may not miss more than two days.
Students must arrive by 8:00 a.m and will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. Tardies and early dismissals will be documented and may result in dismissal from June Academy.
If a student is absent a parent must provide, in writing, the reason for the absence when the student returns. This can be in the form of a written note or an email to the administrator, Alex Miller miller.ac@augusta.k12.va.us.

Students are expected to…
Follow ACPS policies and expectations, the same as during the regular school year.
